Use AI to Design and Improve Categories
Actualog AI can help you create, review, and improve categories in the product taxonomy. It helps prepare the category definition; it does not replace the category creation page or expert review.
If your goal is to create and save a category now, follow Category and open Create Category.
Use AI when you need to:
- understand where a category belongs;
- create a clearer category name;
- write or improve a category description;
- find possible duplicate or overlapping categories;
- suggest useful attributes for a category;
- identify variant-defining attributes;
- compare your category structure with external classifiers or imported product data;
- prepare category changes for expert review.
AI helps with analysis and suggestions. Important category changes should still be reviewed by a user with the right permissions.

When you want to create a category, Hex can help you think through the structure before saving it.

Hex can propose a scope, parent category, synonyms, useful attributes, and possible variant axes. Treat those results as suggestions: compare them with existing categories and confirm the final structure before saving.
Recommended workflow
- Search the category tree for an existing or overlapping category.
- Ask Hex to compare the candidate category with its likely parent and siblings.
- Review the proposed name, scope, synonyms, attributes, and variant axes.
- Open Create Category and enter the reviewed category data.
- Save the category, then configure and review its Category Template.
