Specification-Identified Product
A Specification-Identified Product is a product whose category identity policy uses Specification-defined identity. Its identity comes from the category and configured technical identity attributes, not from Brand or Brand Owner.
This model is suitable when products are interchangeable because the same standard, material, dimensions, rating, grade, or other configured specifications describe the same product.
Identity rule
For Specification-defined identity, Actualog includes:
- identity policy and version;
- category;
- configured Group-level identity attributes;
- configured Variant-level attributes for a concrete variant.
Brand ID and Brand Owner company ID are not included in the checksum for this mode.
If two records in the same category produce the same complete Product checksum, Actualog treats that as an identity conflict that needs duplicate resolution.
Company relationships
Several companies can connect to the same Specification-Identified Product as Manufacturer, Distributor, Supplier, Consumer, Designer, or Service provider. Those relationships describe what each company does; they do not create new product identity by themselves.
Company-specific data
The current application does not provide Company Product Overlay. Use catalogs and offers for commercial terms, explicit company-product relationships for roles, and supported Product Claims for proposed corrections.
